Anne sees children, teens and adults

I have 10 years of experience as a Clinical Psychologist and, like all psychologists at J&R Psychology, am registered with the Australian Health Practitioner's Regulation Authority. I enjoy and have lots of experience working with children, adolescents and adults. I've worked across a number of settings including education, disability, mental health and child development and particularly enjoy private practice psychology work.
I always bring kindness, compassion, curiosity and empathy into the therapeutic relationship. As part of the therapy process I like to use a range of evidence based approaches to help facilitate positive change. Some of these therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing and Attachment-based therapies.
I have a particular interest in the assessment and treatment of stress, anxiety and mood disorders (e.g. depression) in adults and adolescents and in the treatment of emotional regulation difficulties, anxiety, behavioural and developmental difficulties in children. Another area of interest I have is in providing professional supervision. As an an AHPRA board approved supervisor I have previous experience in supervising both students on university placements and Registrars
