Michelle sees children, adolescents and adults. Consults in Subiaco
I am dedicated to providing high quality individualized treatment to my clients. I have over fourteen years’ experience as a Clinical Psychologist and have worked at Jeffery and Ree and Sleep Matters for the past eight years. I am passionate about helping children, adolescents and adults with a variety of clinical presentations including insomnia and other sleep disorders, anxiety and depression, low self-esteem, adjustment disorders, eating disorders and obesity. My approach to working with clients is collaborative, aiming to develop a strong therapeutic relationship and delivering evidence-based treatment.
Alongside my private practice work, I enjoy providing clinical supervision for our practice. I also facilitate the Sleep Matters Insomnia group program run out of the Marian Centre. I have enjoyed working in the United Kingdom, Sydney and Perth across adult mental health and child and adolescent services. I also have a keen interest in research, and have presented at a number of conferences, and published in the field of obesity and eating disorders.
My training is in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and I have undertaken specialist training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Circle of Security and Family Therapy. My qualifications include a Masters in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Psychology from the University of Western Australia. I am fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia.
