Hello, I completed my training in Clinical Psychology at the University of Western Australia and have worked as a Clinical Psychologist in public mental health services in Perth and Oxford, UK, and in private practice for over 20 years. My principal area of practice has been with children, adolescents and families, however I also very much enjoy working with adults presenitng with varied concerns.
I’ve also provided consultation in performance psychology to the WA Institute of Sport for the swimming and track and field programs since 2017. Sport psychology and performance psychology is an area of interet for me, and I'm a keen athlete myself.
I have an active interest in the provision of clinical supervision and over time have provided teaching, training and supervision to students from Curtin University, University of Western Australia and to the WA Department of Health Psychiatry training program.
My clinical practice puts emphasis on the formation of a safe, ethical therapeutic relationship to facilitate collaborative and goal-directed therapy. My practice is informed most heavily by Cognitive Behaviour Therapy where it is indicated, as well as other models and approaches such as Interpersonal Therapy , Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as Attachment and Family Systems models.
Concerns I work regularly with include:
Children and Teenagers

- School reluctance / school refusal
- Sleep problems
- Psychology of sport and performance.
