Anya Hughes

I have worked as a psychologist for several years before returning to university to gain my postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology (Curtin University). I've worked as a psychologist in Ireland in a primary care service for adults presenting with significant mental health issues. Since moving to Australia, I've had a range of diverse roles including working with children and adolescents identified as at risk for mental health concerns and providing psychological treatment with adults in the work rehabilitation space.I have a special interest in chronic health conditions, sleep presentations, the impact of trauma on child development and family systems. I'm trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

I really enjoy working with people across the lifespan. I work to create a safe space for exploration and tailor my approach to individually support clients through their journey. In my spare time, I'm an accredited Yoga instructor, love to swim and read books at home.
